Cranberries Apples Sugar  Spices Vanilla Lime Cornstarch Water

Ingredients

Mix cranberries, water, sugar, lime juice, spices, apple and vanilla in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring intermittently. 

Cranberries should be getting soft and starting to 'pop'. This is what you want. You can also smash the soft cranberries against the wall of the pan.

Make the cornstarch slurry and slowly stir into the cranberry sauce. The cranberry sauce will start to thicken, and will continue to thicken once you take it off the heat.

Remove the cranberry sauce from the heat and continue to stir for about a minute. Stir in the lime zest.  Serve cold topped with sugared cranberries and lime zest.
