Apple Cinnamon Scones with Maple Glaze

Apple Cinnamon Scones with Maple Glaze

How to Make

Ingredients

Flour Sugar Baking Powder Egg Butter Greek yogurt Vanilla Extract Ground cloves Salt Shredded apple Cinnamon chips Maple Glaze

Cube the cold butter and set in the freezer while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.

Sift the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Whisk the wet ingredients together in a separate bowl.

Using a pastry cutter, cut the cubed butter into the dry ingredients until it resembles pea gravel.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Add in the shredded apple and cinnamon chips. Gently fold to combine.

Form a dough ball and split into two equal halves. Form two six inch discs with the dough balls. Place on a lined baking sheet.

I like to use my bench scraper to cut the discs into six roughly equal pieces. Pull the pieces apart just enough so they are not touching each other, about 1 inch.

Set the baking sheet in the fridge for 20 minutes and preheat the oven to 400 F. I like to use this waiting time to clean up.

After 20 minutes, pop those babies in the oven and bake for 18 minutes. The tops should have a nice golden hue to them when done. While the scones are baking, make the maple glaze.

Warm scones are hard to resist! Drizzle some glaze on the scone you plan to scarf down right now, then wait until the rest cool off before drizzling the glaze over them.

Your friends and family will definitely thank you for making these!
